Beaches in Erquy

Among Erquy’s many beaches, Caroual and Saint Pabu are the most popular with holidaymakers and families in summer.

Saint Pabu beach is a 15-minute walk from Camping Paradis, or a 3-minute drive. A veritable playground for kitesurfers, surfers and windsurfers, it is also very popular with families for its stretch of fine sand for building sand castles, fishing on foot, crabbing and shrimping in the rocks.

As for the Caroual beach, which adjoins Saint Pabu, it is supervised in season and remains very lively: beach volleyball competition, sandball, beach club, windsurfing, sand yachting… Showers and toilets are also available.
If you prefer to get there by car or bike, there are plenty of large parking lots for safe, nearby parking.

Visit Erquy

Other, more intimate beaches, such as Lourtuais, le Portuais, le Guen and Lanruen, are surrounded by pine woods and moorland where gorse and heather flourish. These beaches will appeal to nature lovers in search of calm and authenticity.

After your swim, venture out on the cliffside footpaths and admire the sublime coastal scenery. A change of scenery guaranteed!

Numerous food shops and restaurants will delight your taste buds.

You can also visit the Château de Bien-Assis, just a stone’s throw from Camping Paradis. For the more adventurous, take the path through the forest opposite Camping Paradis, which leads to the château’s parks.

Near the Bellevue campsite, part of the Lourtuais beach is reserved for naturists. Come and enjoy as you are!
