As you explore the Cape, make your way to Fort la Latte, also known as Château de la Roche Goyon. It was built in the 14ᵉ century by Etienne III Guyon on a rocky promontory. It’s one of Brittany’s most famous châteaux! Remarkable for its location on a rocky cape facing the sea, it has been used as a set for several films.
This enjoyable tour takes you to the heart of one of Brittany’s most famous fortresses. It is open continuously every day from April to the end of October.

To get to Fort-La-Latte, head straight for Cap d’Erquy and Cap Fréhel.

Along the way, you’ll come across the Menhir de la Latte, thought to represent Gargantua’s tooth or finger.

Fort-La-Latte and its fortified castle are full of surprises and discoveries. When you visit it, you’ll discover the barbican, the courtyard, the cistern, the cannons, the cannonball oven, the keep… so many historical relics from the 14th century to the end of the First Empire!
